Dr. Evil’s Mini-Me Passes Away

The breakout star from Austin Powers film series and Harry Potter, Vern Troyer has passed away at the age of 49, he is best known for his role as Mini-Me the clone of the charter created by Mike Myers known as Dr. Evil In the Spy who Shagged Me and Gold Member which is a parody of a James Bond villain.


Vern was an American actor, stunt performer, and comedian. He was notable for his height of 2 ft 8 inches tall which enabled him to play rolls that were limited to small characters. He played goblins and dwarfs and other costume characters. Troyer was born with the genetic disorder known as achondroplasia dwarfism.


According to TMZ online his family said he was on life support after being taken to the hospital earlier this month it was reported to law enforcement he was suicidal and was treated for possible alcohol poisoning he struggled with alcoholism and went into rehab often.


Verne’s family says he was baptized while surrounded by loved ones, an online Instagram page dedicated to his memory, Mike Myers stated “Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him. It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed,”
