Trump Starts Black History Month Attacking Jay-Z

Jigga vs the President of Hate

For 28 days in February America will once again recognize the accomplishments of historical black men and women. I am curious as to how will our current president or members of his administration celebrate or recognize the importance of Black History Month. (Stop laughing)

A few days short of Black History Month, Donald Trump has already found another black person to attack Twitter, and instead of being presidential he has decided once again to criticize a private citizen for exercising his first amendment right.

CNN’s Van Jones recently interviewed hip-hop legend and superstar Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and in the interview asked questions regarding our nation’s current political issues. Jay-Z stated that Trump's comment regarding Haitian and African Immigrants was disappointing.

"Everyone feels anger, but after the anger, it's really hurtful because he's looking down on a whole population of people; and he's so misinformed because these places have beautiful people," he told Van Jones on the debut of his CNN program.

The comments Jay Z is referring to is "Why do we want all these people from shithole countries coming here?” This comment was heard by senators and other cabinet members.

Asked by Van Jones whether it's OK for Trump "to say terrible things but put money in our pockets" Jay-Z said, "No, because it's not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn't equate to happiness. It doesn't. That's missing the whole point.”

"You treat people like human beings. That's the main point," said Jay-Z. "It goes back to the whole thing -- 'Treat me really bad and pay me well.' It's not going to lead to happiness, it's going to lead to, again, the same thing. Everyone's going to be sick."

Of course not having anything better to do when you are President of the United States Donald Trump decides to attack Jay-Z for having an opinion.

Trump tweeted to Jay-Z “Somebody, please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, black unemployment has just been reported to be at the lowest rate ever recorded!"

Knowing Trump, the way we do, we knew he would take credit for the eight years President Barack Obama worked to help the nation recover from the Bush Recession of 2008, and as such is the real reason stocks are up, and unemployment is down.

He and his merry band of misfit liars are making their rounds running to the press (who they so affectionately call Fake News) hoping they will repeat his lie that he alone is responsible for lower black unemployment.

Obama gets zero credit after all according to Trump; Obama is not even a real American and never should have gotten into Harvard. Trump’s disdain for people of color goes without saying.

Trump picks fights with black people because his neo-fascist base enjoys it, he caters to devout racist and he offers no apologies for it.

As we honor the memories of those black historical figures of the past, we the people must tell the truth and exercise our constitutional rights they fought and died for.

We should never quit believing in the American spirit, and the dream that all, and is created equal; and we should share the same equal rights together especially the freedom of speech.
